Export of Template Only

You can change the Template without replacing your Articles. For example, you can change the layout of the Blog page, which you have installed before with the Template on your hosted Joomla website.

  1. Run the Nicepage application for Windows or Mac OS.
  2. Open your working website.
  3. Open Theme -> Blog Template.
  4. Change the Blog Preset.
  5. Click the "Export" icon in the Topbar.
  6. In the dialog, select the Joomla Tab.
  7. Make sure that you check only the Theme (meaning "Template" for Joomla) box.
  8. In the exported zip, you will have only the Template changes. Content will stay unchanged.
  9. Click the Export icon to export the Nicepage Template.

Import of Template Only

  1. Switch to your Joomla Administrator.
  2. Select Extensions -> Templates.
  3. Select another Template to deactivate your current Nicepage Template.
  4. You may delete the old Nicepage Template, if not needed.
  5. Install your new Template
  6. Switch to Extensions -> Manage.
  7. Drag or browse for the Template zip.
  8. After the installation, make your Nicepage Joomla template default.

  10. Add a Link to Blog in the Menu.

  12. Click the Website Link at the top right to preview the changes.

Quick Update of Template

If you develop a website locally, you can specify the Joomla Template folder on your local computer. In this case, there is no need to deactivate and reinstall the Template.

  1. In the Nicepage Application, select another Blog Preset to view the changes.
  2. Click the Export button.
  3. In the Export dialog, choose the folder to the "Export As" option.
  4. Enter the path to your Template folder in the Path field.
  5. Note, it is the path to all Templates installed on your Joomla website.
  6. And this one is the folder to your Nicepage Template that you will update.
  7. Click Export.
  8. Switch to the browser with your Site Preview.
  9. Refresh the page.
