Convert Multiple Images
One of the main goals for Nicepage is to speed up the design process, that is, to make the Responsive Modes automatically using Grids and Grid Repeaters. Our usability tests show that many users do not use the Grid Repeater and place Elements without them. Therefore, we introduce the best practices to help get the best results in the Mobile Views.
In this update, we added the Best Practice to convert Images placed in one row into the Gallery or Grid Repeater Elements. In future updates, we will add support for other Elements placed in line.
Tall Headers
Our usability tests showed that many users tend to increase the Header Height instead of adding a Block and then overlap it with the Header if needed. Therefore, we have added the Best Practice Dialog that should help them.
Hide Elements In Mobile Views
Users want to remove certain Elements on Mobile Views. However, the same Elements are used on all views, including for the bigger screens, and deleting them deletes Elements for all views. Therefore, we have added the Best Practice dialog to help people and propose using the Hide On Devices property to Hide Elements for Responsive Modes instead of deleting them.
Conversion Layouts
If you duplicate multi-selected Elements with the CTRL or ALT keys, you will see the conversion dialog allowing you to choose from the popular List layouts.
We have added a similar Conversion dialog while duplicating Images with the CTRL or ALT keys.
Move Element To Box
When you move an Element over the Rounded Rectangle, the same Best Practice dialog offers to convert the Element to a Group. The behavior is similar to the Rectangle without rounded corners.
Icon On Shape
We also see that many users put a Circle or Rectangle behind an Icon. Therefore, we have added the Best Practice offering to convert the Icon and Shape to the Icon Preset.
Expand Image To Block
We have added the Best Practice Notification while resizing an image up to the boundaries of the Block.
Edit Menu in CMS
In WordPress or Joomla, you can use the Menu Editor ONLY to stylize the Menu. Please edit your Menu Items in the Appearance -> Menu in WordPress and the Menus in Joomla.
Add Menu To Block
You can add the Menu Element only to the Header and Footer.
Delete Menu in Header
Since the Header and Menu are Elements for all the site's pages, we strongly do not recommend deleting the Menu in the Header. To create a Menu over the image, use the Overlap Next Block option for the Header.
Multiple Links In Header
The Menu is the control used for site navigation. It is common for all site pages and is used as a single control in the CMS. Therefore, we recommend using the Menu for site navigation and do not recommend emulating it out of the multiple added Hyperlinks.
Move Menu into First Block
After users try to pull the Menu into the First Block after the Header, we recommend using the Overlap Next Block option instead.
Move Header onto First Block
After users try to pull the Header onto the First Block after the Header, we also recommend using the Overlap Next Block option instead.
Expand Image in Block
Many users pull the image markers to expand the image. However, they do not snap to the block edges correctly. Therefore, we recommend using the Expand to Background option.
