Export of Theme Only

You can change the Theme without replacing your Content. For example, you can change the layout of your Blog page, which you have installed with the Theme.

  1. Run the Nicepage application for Windows or Mac OS.
  2. Open your working website.
  3. Open Theme -> Blog Template.
  4. Change the Blog Preset.
  5. Click the "Export" icon in the Top Bar.
  6. In the dialog, select the WordPress Tab.
  7. Make sure that you check only the Theme Box.
  8. In the exported zip, you will have only the Theme changes. Content will stay unchanged.
  9. Click the Export button to export the Nicepage Theme.

Import of Theme Only

  1. Switch to your WordPress Administration.
  2. Select Appearance -> Themes.
  3. Select another theme to deactivate your current Nicepage Theme.
  4. You may delete the old Nicepage Theme, if not needed.
  5. Install and activate your new Theme.
  6. For details, watch the video about the installation of the Nicepage WordPress Theme.
  7. Note: by default, your website is set to show the Blog as the home page.
  8. Click WordPress -> Visit Site to preview your Blog changes.

Quick Update of Theme

If you develop a website locally, you can specify the WordPress Theme folder on your local computer. In this case, there is no need to deactivate and reinstall the Theme.

  1. In the Nicepage Application select another Blog Preset to see the changes.
  2. Click the Export button.
  3. In the Export dialog, select the Folder for the "Export As" option.
  4. Enter the path to your Theme folder in the Path field.
  5. Note this is the path to all themes installed on your WordPress website.
  6. And this one is the folder to your Nicepage Theme that you will update.
  7. Click Export.
  8. Switch to your Site Preview.
  9. Refresh page.
