Website Collaboration Teamwork

This update finalizes the User-Based Access and permissions system, allowing full collaboration for users working on websites together.

The biggest additions are Content Editor and Designer roles, in which Designers have access to the full creative and Editor layers. At the same time, Content Editors are limited to text and media updates.

In practice, this means:

  • Designers keep control of the site pages, blocks, and elements.
  • Content Editors can safely edit the content of pages, like images and texts, posts, and products.

The Teams can work together, assigning Access Levels and User Roles, which helps them avoid accidental loss of design and content changes.

Content Editor Role

The new Content Editor Role is designed for clients, marketers, copywriters, or staff who should only update website content without breaking design layouts. Content Editors can only edit text, replace images, and use simplified editing controls.

Designer Role

The Designer Role allows both modification of the Site Content and editing of the design, including modifying layouts, blocks, and grids, as well as adjusting spacing, positioning, visual styling, properties, and structure.

Working On A Website Together

User Management Link

If you work on a website on the desktop app, you need to publish it to make it available online for collaborators.

You can open the User Management from the Site Options menu.

You can also open the User Management from the User Profile in the Editor or the Nicepage website.

Invite Collaborator

On the User Management page, choose a site from the Site List, then click the Invite Collaborator button.

Assign A Role

On the Invite Collaborator page, enter a Collaborator's Email and assign a User Role, for example, Content Editor if you need only content editing, or Designer to invite a web designer.

Dashboard's Collaboration Section

After accepting the Invitation, the Collaboration Website is available from the Collaboration section on the Collaborator's Dashboard.

NOTE: The Collaborator must have at least Personal Plan to edit a site. The Site Owner has an included number of allowed collaborations per plan: 3 for Business, 10 for Pro, and 100 for Ultimate.

Read-Only Mode For Edited Site

If a user opens a Site's Page in the Editor, other users with access to this Site see the website in read-only mode. There is a message at the top of the Editor indicating that a Page has been locked, which prevents changes from being lost.

NOTE: When a Page is renamed or deleted, the Editor for other users is also switched into read-only mode.

Force Edit Operation

If needed, a user can start editing by clicking the Force button.

After the user clicks Edit Page in the dialog, the previous user's Editor is switched to read-only mode. The work is automatically saved.

The previous Editor receives a message that the Editor has been switched to the Read-Only Mode.

Editing Site Settings

Only one user can edit Site Settings, while other users can open them in read-only mode and see the message about it.

NOTE: The Header, Footer, and Modal Popups are also part of the Site Settings, and cannot be edited if locked. In 30 minutes of inactivity, the Pages and Site Settings are automatically unlocked.

1900+ Google Fonts Supported

We have adopted the updated list of modern Google Fonts to improve typography and enhance design flexibility across all templates.

Font Upload Improved

You can now upload and manage custom fonts more smoothly with enhanced usability.

Element Properties Enhanced

We have continued to improve the Element properties and reworked the Property panel for the Tabs.

The Accordion's Property Panel was also redone to match the general style.

We now also rotate the Accordion and FAQ Icon for the expanded state.

We have added a link to set the Payment Methods for the Pay Now option of the Payment Button, improving user convenience.

Side Panel Expansion

Enhanced the Side Panel behavior with smoother expansion, improved clarity, and usability during the work.
