Positions in Wordpress / Widgets positions

Hi Astrid,

Joomla and WordPress do not allow to CREATE new positions inside content. The position is a theme element and should be created in the theme. Nicepage page is a content (WP Page or Joomla article). It can be used with any theme and its positions. Therefore, you can display the widget located in the existing theme position, but you cannot create a new position in the content to place widgets in it.

but if i created theme with nicepage?
how can i add position for example a place for a slider in homepage ?

Hi,

As mentioned above, you can add the position with the same name within the template area (header, footer, post or blog template) and then use the position within the content.
Also if you need to add a third-party slider, then it probably comes with the shortcode. Use the Shortcode control in the page content to add your slider.

I was going to make a subscription but if I can't create a new widget I will continue with themler because I create as many widgets as I want.
