Connect Nicepage With Joomla
Nicepage lets you design a Joomla website in the desktop application and then transfer it to your Joomla installation. The workflow connects the Nicepage Application with the Joomla Extension, allowing you to export and install templates, articles, and editing tools. You can use Joomla 5 from joomla.org or work with hosting that already includes the Joomla CMS.
Create Custom Joomla Templates
Joomla is a content management system that uses templates to control website design and articles to manage page content. A Joomla template defines the header, footer, colors, fonts, typography, blog appearance, and store styling. With Nicepage, you can create a custom Joomla template and build articles that go beyond the limitations of the standard Joomla article editor.
Edit Joomla Articles With Nicepage
The Nicepage Editor is a Joomla Extension for visual website editing directly inside Joomla. It allows you to build and update Nicepage Articles with drag-and-drop tools, layouts, images, text, and elements. You can't edit articles created with the default Joomla editor in Nicepage. Only content created or imported through the Nicepage Extension can be opened in the visual editor.
Choose the Desktop Application or Extension
You can work with Nicepage in two ways: through the desktop application or directly through the Joomla Extension. The desktop application is useful for creating projects, backing up sites, and preparing Joomla websites before publication. You can export the same project to WordPress or HTML, or publish it to Nicepage Hosting, making the application convenient for multi-platform website production.
Download Nicepage and Build a Website
To begin, download the Nicepage Application from nicepage.com and install it on your computer. Launch the program, sign in to your account or create one, and then start a website or open a project. Build the website design, add pages and content, customize the site style, and prepare the project before exporting it for your Joomla website.
Export a Nicepage Site for Joomla
When your website is ready, click Publish in the upper-right corner and choose the Joomla tab. Enter the file name and destination path, then select the Joomla “4 and 5” version option. Check that the template, articles, and Nicepage Editor Extension are included. You can export e-commerce templates for VirtueMart. Click Export to generate the installation ZIP package.
Open the Joomla Administrator
After the export is complete, Nicepage opens the folder containing the ZIP package. Next, sign in to the Administrator area of your Joomla website. The administrator login is usually available at your domain followed by “/administrator.” From the Joomla dashboard, you can install the package, manage extensions, se
