Ask a Question

Hello everyone,

I am using Nicepage as my website builder, and I am also using its built-in contact form. However, I am unsure about the technical implementation in the background.

Does anyone know how the Nicepage contact form processes and sends the submitted data? Does it use email, a third-party server, or store data somewhere?

Additionally, I want to make sure that my website complies with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation). Are there any specific settings or configurations I should be aware of to ensure data protection compliance?

I appreciate any insights or advice you can provide!

Thank you in advance!

Hello Assen,

Thank you for reaching out! We appreciate your interest in understanding how Nicepage’s built-in contact form processes and sends data, as well as ensuring GDPR compliance for your website.

Contact Form Data Processing

Nicepage offers multiple methods for handling contact form submissions:

Email Submission – By default, form submissions are sent to the email address configured in the form settings. You can modify the recipient email in your form’s properties.
Leads Management – Submissions can be stored in your Nicepage account under the "Leads" section, allowing easy access to customer inquiries.
Google Sheets Integration – You can configure your form to send data directly to a Google Sheets document for record-keeping and automation.
Custom URL Submission – If needed, form data can be sent to a custom server or third-party endpoint via a configured URL.
PHP Script Submission – For advanced users, forms can be processed using PHP scripts hosted on your server.
Third-Party Integrations – Nicepage supports integrations with platforms like MailChimp, WordPress (Contact Form 7), and Joomla Forms.

Regarding GDPR compliance, it's essential to:

Implement a Cookie Consent Banner: Inform users about data collection and obtain their consent. Nicepage provides features to create GDPR-compliant cookie popups.

If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.
