Ask a Question

Does anyone know where the error is please? If Nicepage update or really incorrect form settings?
(configuration error) Invalid mailbox syntax is used in the Reply-To field.
The entered value doesn't seem wrong to me... so I have no idea.
Thank you
Pavel

Hi Pavel,

Could you please try using the Contact Form 7 plugin directly on your WordPress pages, without using Nicepage? This will help determine if the issue is with the plugin itself or related to Nicepage.

If the issue persists, please let us know, and we can help further by converting the ticket into a private one for you to share temporary access to your WP admin panel so we can investigate the issue.

Looking forward to your response.

I'm having the same problem. A form which is uncapable of replying to the sender is useless.
Where is the reply to the sender? I don't think it is a hard task for your developers to add that functionality.

Hello,

Kindly create a separate ticket for your issue and elaborate more on that. What website are you using? HTML or CMS? What submit option have you selected? Any error screenshots that you can share with us will be highly appreciated.

Thanks

One and the same website and two forms there. The general settings for both forms are the same, the only difference is in the fields. One form is fine, the other is not. I deleted the faulty one with the syntax error and configured it manually in CF7, without using Nicepage. The syntax error is still the same. I really don't understand it anymore.

Dear Pavel,

Thank you for your message.

It’s indeed strange that both forms have the same general settings, yet one continues to show a syntax error, even after recreating it manually without using Nicepage.

To help troubleshoot further, could you please let us know:

  1. What is the exact error message you're receiving?
  2. Could you share the full shortcode or content of the faulty form (especially the form markup)?
  3. Are there any scripts or plugins (like reCAPTCHA, validation add-ons, or SMTP tools) that may be interfering?
  4. Do you use any custom code or theme modifications?

Sometimes, CF7 syntax issues persist if:

  • There are leftover hidden tags in the form code.
  • A theme conflict causes parsing issues.
  • An invalid mail tag is present in the Mail tab.

We’d be happy to review the form syntax together if you could share temporary access to the backend of your website in a separate private ticket.

Ahmad.

Hi, so the mystery with the form response is solved. If the "email" field is set to "required", the syntax error disappears.
