After 6 hours building a site the export "failed"
Kindly elaborate more on that. What format were you trying to export it in? What Nicepage version you are using currently?
and the files are no longer available in my desktop app.
How do I recover them?
Please check if you have saved the project or if you have a backup file.
Since it was on your PC, we do not have control over it.

it says it can not be recovered
how do I save it as a back up file?
If you want to backup a site, press the Publish button at the top right, then choose Project as the export.
Save it in a safe place.
Do you have the Site_##### folders inside Documents\Nicepage on your PC?
