At times I am unable to save after editing a page from Joomla Nicepage plugin.
I receive a message: "An error occurred. Reload Nicepage". see the attached screenshot.

Another user indicated that his problem was solved by the following:
It was indicated that Mod Security blockage was removed for the following IDs:
(1) Atomicorp.com WAF Rules: Cross-Site Scripting (ID 310717)
(2) Atomicorp.com WAF Rules: Generic XSS Filter (ID 310718)

I approached my service provider about the same and they indicated that they will not remove the above Mods as they are in place for security reasons.

Please advise

Vote to pay developers attention to this features or issue.

Hi Chris,

Usually such issues are caused by the modsecurity settings and we cannot do anything about that. Nicepage needs to process the data to save the changes. Please ask your hosting provider to check what exact Nicepage requests are blocked by the server. I hope that they could be able to set some exceptions to allow saving the Nicepage changes.

In the mean time I was wondering if the following could not be the cause of the problem:

When I created the website in Windows desktop, I used a previously designed template that you provide as a base. This template used a Grid with 7 blocks that are part of a premium license for which I am not licensed. It didn't seem to be a problem at the time and I completed my design before exporting it to Joomla.

For some time I made changes to this page and it saved successfully. However it seems that after the last update of Nicepage that I am starting to get these error messages.

Can this not be the cause of the problem?

My service provider informed me that there was an error that stated:

"Request body no files data length is larger than the configured limit"

and that this message relates to a Modsecurity limit which was set at 1MB and which was being reached. They have subsequently increased the limit to 5MB and this seems to have resolved the issue.
