Cannot get animation to work

From these screenshots you can see that I'm using the Joomla plugin. Using template id #34007, I'm simply trying to add an animation to a grid cell as indicated by the arrow. The animation type is 'slide' with the direction coming from the left. The Play button doesn't preview anything nor does the Preview button.

Edit - I noticed that it works in Firefox but not in Chrome. Should it work in Chrome?

I did the steps from this article: https://nicepage.com/doc/article/4348?uid=d92f4224-a597-4ac0-8a6f-54406865e9c5. After installing the template and contents, I edited the article to see if I could create an animation for one of the grid cells. However, the preview 'Play' button does not do anything nor does the animation appear when using the Preview option. Does the animations only work with the paid plans? I've yet to get it to work with the starter plan.

I believe I have solved the issue - I did some more research and found an article about a similar situation where the animate.css functions wasn't working on Chrome. This is what the writer wrote:

"You need to change the settings under the Performance Options of your Windows. To open Performance Options you may search for Adjust the appearance and performance of windows or:
Windows key + R
Enter %windir%\system32\SystemPropertiesPerformance.exe
Then change the selected settings to Adjust for best appearance."

When I did that, the animations worked as expected.
