Hi there, I am new her. Last week I signed up for the business edition of Nicepage. Now a first template is ready (see link). I exported it as joomla (zip) and installed it, but it is impossible to activate the joomla positions that I have entered.

Activating modules, the position-settings are not visible in the dropdown. I've watched the videos about this entirely and I think I've gone through all the steps. Is there anything I possibly miss or could this be a bug?

Hello Barend,

Thank you for using Nicepage.

Thank you for the link to your site published with Nicepage.

Please send here the theme exported as a project and your Joomla site temporary access.
Name the positions and modules or send here the marked screenshots that we should check.

What I missed is that you only can add joomla positions in the header of footer section. This is what I did now and it works perfectly.

Hello Barend,

Please check possible Joomla positions in our documentation:
https://nicepage.com/doc/77605/position-in-joomla-header-footer-with-app
https://nicepage.com/doc/76349/joomla-position-in-blog-post-sidebar-with-app
https://nicepage.com/doc/76324/position-in-joomla-content-with-extension
https://nicepage.com/doc/76096/custom-position-in-content-with-joomla-extension
Theme positions will be added automatically after a new theme upload(theme positions added in desktop application), content positions will need to be assigned to your custom modules after in Joomla.

Please check and let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks for sharing the videos. New for me was the functionality to add positions in the content which is quite nice.

In the meantime I published the template of my site, but what strikes me is that joomla positions that are not used do take up space. I was not used to that with my previous templates. There, a position or sitebar is only shown if an active module is also linked to it. Am I missing a setting somewhere?

Hello,

The empty position does not take any space, but the Grid where you added the position does. It has a minimum height. Unfortunately, it is impossible to set min grid height to 0 in Nicepage.
Please let us know if you have any further questions.
