Ask a Question

Hi,
I've just bought Nicepage licenses, I'm your old customer from Themler and I'm trying to move all my websites from Themler Template to Nicepage template and I know that I need to design them from scratch again.

My question is

I have tons of different menus with tons of items each on my Joomla4 websites, I'm creating different templates so I can assign them to different pages, but I cannot understand how I can add more than one menu's position in each template. Seems that only hmenu position is allowed.

In themler is easy, you just assign different position and that's it

e.g.
hmenu
hmenu01
hmenu02

and than assign different Menu Modules in each position

Can I do the same on Nicepage?
If not how can I achieve my goal?

Thanks
nancy

Hi Nancy,

Thank you for choosing Nicepage.

You can add several menus.
The menu could be added to the header/footer in your theme only with the desktop application - https://nicepage.com/doc/77605/position-in-joomla-header-footer-with-app
In general -
Name the menu
Import new theme into Joomla
Add a new menu module with a corresponding position name from the list of theme positions.
Assign your module to be visible on pages

Please check and let us know your result.

Hi Nancy,

Yes, you can.
You can use another theme for Joomla pages, and the Nicepage header footer for the pages made with Nicepage in Joomla or uploaded from a desktop application.
You can upload a custom template and select different layouts for different menu items, check the instruction for Joomla here - https://nicepage.com/doc/167464/custom-templates-in-nicepage

Please check and let us know your result.

Hi Anna,
sorry for the delay in my reply.
I've tried what you have suggested here https://nicepage.com/doc/167464/custom-templates-in-nicepage but doesn't work.

I did this:

1) with the desktop app I have created a Site
2) In the Templates Tab I clicked on the option "Add custom template"
3) I've chosen the option "Blog Template"
4) I have named BlogTemplate01
5) I add another Custom template named BlogTemplate02

Now I tried to create 2 different Headers for my 2 templates but I cannot they are the same, if I change anything in one template those changes are reflected in the other template too.

I need to create a lot of different Custom Templates and all of them need to have different Headers and footers

Can I di that? if yes how?

Thanks
Nancy

Hello Nancy,

The header and footer are one and only for one theme created in one desktop project.
A custom template is for different layouts, in the case of a Blog template, you can use another Blog post element layout to have different blog pages for different categories for example.

In order to have different header/footer for different Nicepage pages or Joomla pages you need to create different projects and export them as themes. After uploading to your Joomla admin, select the menu item Template Style different for each page(article) assigned to this menu item.
Note, for a Nicepage page, you need to change the Page template configuration to Theme Header and Footer.
Please check the screenshots attached.
