Cannot import into wordpress

Hi Dave,

What is the size of the exported archive with the theme, plugin, and content? Usually, this error is caused by server limitations related to the size of the uploaded archives. We also recommend that you check the PHP error logs on the server. There is should be a more detailed error message logged at the same time when you received the error.

Hi Olivia, I have tried increasing the upload size to 16MB which easily covers the file size, and no errors in the logs. Just the page that says that the link has expired. Can you only import if you’ve paid for nicepage?

Sorry in advance for the delay in reply.
No, that is not the reason, you can import theme + pages with a free Starter plan.

Please attach your project folder like Site _### located in the main Nicepage folder on your local PC zip it and send it here.
We also need your site's temporary access to check the import option.

I too am having this issue with the latest version of the Plugin v5.1.5. I have done a fresh install on a Raspberry Pi so have PHP Version 7.4.33 and Wordrpress 6.1.1. I have edited the .htaccess file and have the following

php_value upload_max_filesize 128M
php_value post_max_size 128M
php_value max_execution_time 300
php_value max_input_time 300

These steps did work previously on the old version of Nicepage Plugin.
I can upload the theme but nothing else. I even tried installing the Plugin Big File Uploads with no success.

The workaround I found was to upload the Plugin zip file first via FTP, copy to Wordpress Plugin folder and then activate. After that you can then use the Nicepage Import to import the site.

Please create a new private ticket with your project file attached or uploaded it to the external cloud with a link to download.
We might need your site's temporary access to check the import option.
According to your issue description, you still have server limits to upload your exported file directly into admin.
