Hello Erwien,

Thanks for contacting us

Unfortunately, there's no such feature in Nicepage to switch off Google fonts.

I dont feel like arguing with lawyers, rightly so or not...

Kindly, elaborate more on that.

Sincerely,
Ahmad.

There is currently a wave of warnings - ie dubious lawyers are demanding € 100 + legal fees from website owners for using Google fonts (e.g. Roboto) Whether this is legal or not, you just don t want that - so it would be nice if if you could turn it off

Hi Erwien,

We added your request to our wish list.
In the meantime please note that you can use custom fonts in your project instead of google fonts.

What I have already done: Downloaded fonts from Google and put them on the server in the "fonts" folder. Enter the css code of the fonts in the file "nicepage.css". The fonts are also listed in the source code - so far good... Problem: the line
is still present in the source code and shows the connection to Google

Hello Erwien,

For this, please check the box Embed Google Fonts in the Cookies tab > Site Settings.
Save the changes and republish the site once again, check the page source after.

Let us know your result.

Hi Anna,

how can I load the fonts local when I import the HTML or Project into a Wordpress installation?
In the locla editor i have checked the Cookies->Embed Google Fonts, but after I imported into my wordpress installation, I can see that the fonts are loaded from the google servers again 🤷‍♂️

Thanks for any help.
Cheers

Hi Markus,

We have added a new article regarding this question, please check it - https://nicepage.com/doc/318367/google-services-in-european-union
For WordPress sites, you need to update the theme file with Embed Google fonts checked in site Settings, enable the same option under the SiteSettings in the Nicepage plugin for WordPress, and resave the Nicepage page.

If you have any questions regarding your site, please create a new private ticket and share a link to the page and an exported project file, and we will check.
