Whats the best way to track forms with GTM?

I'm creating tags on GTM and I'm having problems to track form submissions. I can't find the place where we can give an ID to the form, only the name and if we use the trigger made by Google it doesn't work because the gtm.click in not sending the value "gtm.formSubmit". Note that I don't want to use thank you pages.

Whats the best approach for this? I'm just using a simple html website without wordpress or joomla.

Hi,

Unfortunately there is no way to add an ID to the form. We'll consider this option for our wishlist.

Also is it not enough to add a GTM id in your site? You can do that under the Site Settings >> Google tab.

GTM ID only let us sync, but to track the submission of messages we need to go further. At the moment we can only track the clicks on the button, but not the successful submits.

Hi,

Nicepage does not provide the option to add Form ID, but you can try adding it manually by editing the exported pages. Unfortunately, there is no other option to add Form ID.
