Ask a Question

Dear Nicepage Users and Followers,

We are happy to announce that we are working hard to support the recently released brand new Joomla! 4 version!

The approximate date for the Nicepage version (beta) with the support for Joomla! 4 is the end of September.

Unfortunately, we failed to implement the Joomla! 4 compatibility by the Joomla! 4 release due to the constant code changes performed by the Joomla developers until the final release.

In any case, we are doing our best to provide you with the Joomla! 4 support as soon as possible. Please follow the news.

Note: We recommend not to update Joomla to the most recent Joomla 4 version on the production websites until we release the complete support for Joomla! 4.

Sincerely,
Nicepage Team

Thanks for the update. In the last weeks before releases, some of the features and coding of Joomla! 4 was like a moving target with micro-changes like crazy that affected many things.
Looking very much forward to the NICEPAGE J! 4 version when released.
Having been an Artisteer user from the original release, we look forward to building custom templates for our project and clients using NICEPAGE.
Press On!!!!!

Hi,

Our developers are working on this. In the new Nicepage 3.25 version https://nicepage.com/doc/190536/joomla-4-template-export, we have added support for the export of the Joomla 4 Template from the Desktop Applications.

NOTE: In this update, you can export only the Template for Joomla 4. We are working on the Editor Extension for Joomla 4, which will be available in future updates.

Hi,

As we have mentioned in the previous message, the support for Joomla 4 is implemented in the Theme only for now, but we are working hard to prepare the Plug-in version for Joomla 4 as soon as possible.
Please follow the news.

Does this mean that you can develope a site for Joomla 4 in the desktop version and upload it to the webpage and when updates is needed you have to go from the desktop version until the Joomla plugin is developed?

Hi,

Create the Theme with Content in the Desktop app and install them on your Joomla (v.4) website.

To update Joomla 4 Extension, you have to export it from the Desktop applications for Windows or Mac OS https://nicepage.com/doc/192635/hover-animation-effects.
For this, choose the Pages and Editor Plugin in the export dialog and install the extension in Joomla admin >> System >> Install >> Extensions.

Affirmative, the Nicepage Desktop version, the menu is not reflected in Joomla 4, it is not visible, the templates do not matter either, it matters half, and with many failures in the blocks, they do not work, it is unheard of, that such an expensive software that they sold it to you for $ 199 dollars, have this number of shortcomings, and outside of that they do not solve the incidents, and you do not answer, if you respond when you say that you are interested in buying the software, there if they are super attentive, but After you buy it, they abandon you, ignore you, and don't even return your money. That is cheating, how are you going to recommend this software, I do not understand how some users say, that it is a wonderful software, honestly, nothing to do, there are others much superior and above this, where it has more news, functions, extensions. This is disrespectful to customers.

Unfortunately the desktop version of nicepage doesn't work with joomla 4 I've tried several times, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. after uploading the template, it does not take over all the plugins or sometimes it does not take over the images or or something is always missing

Hi,

Please note that the Joomla 4 export is still under the Beta stage. Therefore some unexpected issues are possible.
If you faced any problems with the Joomla export please contact us and provide a detailed description of the issue so we can investigate it.

The issue with missing menus on the Nicepage pages can be fixed by switching the page template to the "Theme header and Footer" or "Theme Template":

page-template-settings.png

We'll check the issue with the "Nicepage header and Footer" template.

I am about to upgrade Joomla from 3.10.3 to Joomla 4.03 on one site. When I set the Joomla update to next and review the Pre-Update Check, it reports that System - Nicepage Content Editor has an upgrade issue that could prevent Joomla to upgrade.

I captured the error message which states:
Potential Upgrade Issue
This extension includes a plugin that could cause the upgrade to fail.

To perform the Joomla upgrade safely you should either upgrade this extension to a version compatible with your target version of Joomla or disable the relevant plugin(s) and check again.

For more information about the relevant plugins please check the 'Live Update' tab.

Is there anything I can do to upgrade the site safely? Or do I wait until Nicepage have resolved the issue highlighted?

Hi,

I assume that now you have the plug-in that was exported for Joomla 3 version. Please remove it, upgrade your site and then install the plug-in for Joomla 4. Note, it can be exported from the desktop application only, choose the corresponding version in the export window. Also note that support for Joomla 4 is still beta.
