I would like to have a section made up of tabs and under each tab the ability to add images an text (free format design). Clicking on each tab displays the information in that tab.

Hi,

This option is still in our wishlist. Probably the plug-ins that you have tried do require the bootstrap file and we do not have such in our theme. Unfortuantely I'm not familiar with such plug-ins and cannot recommend anything.

There are plugins for Joomla that will allow you to create something like that from the Regular Labs extensions, first Advanced Module Manager to place modules where you want it (creating a blank article page and using their shortcodes to insert a custom HTML module you can create in the modules menu) and the Tabs Module which also has shortcodes to create tabs.

Someones already mentioned it's possible to embed an extension shortcodes into an article here

Over 1 year to make 1 single tabbed section - you guys are focusing on the wrong things. This is why I say the core software is missing - smoke and mirrors

Take a moment to read this to find a way to find numerous mature existing addons and extensions that provide a wide range of features to meet your needs while also proving webxsite'a snarky remarks are based on their ignorance, not stupidity. I'm confident the will learn to find his way around the Internet and become embarrassed at his previous public displays for all to see.

For Nicepage it's a zero sum gain. They won't see any bump in there revenue stream and incur a net negative cost for any such project. So why re-invent the wheel? Or increase traffic for the help desk. There are more constructive things for them to do such as writing up the information in the link in better manner shown by the snarky author who wrote it.

but i'm using Wordpress :(

Link to resolving issue for both applications is shown above. In addition numerous authors provide versions of their software for both platforms.

I hope it answers your question and helps resolve the issue.

Just a small problem I'm building HTML sites and you don't get plugins for HTML. I get there are options for plugins for Jumla and WordPress but both of those are overkill for a simple site. A tab module and an accordion module are big holes in the product.

Hi Nick,

Thank you for your comments.

There is a lot of ready html+css+js for tabs that can be used on static HTML websites. For example, you can find some of the simple solutions here:
https://www.w3schools.com/howto/howto_js_tabs.asp

They work ok with Nicepage in HTML control.

Olivia, Yes I know about those and have tried some but they don't play nicely with your framework.

How about posting the code you tried and how you want it to appear. That way the other developers with the knowledge can either modify it or tell you. While it may be convenient to just copy the code, typing it in helps you remember it better to use elsewhere as needed. Or you can paste it into a text file to create that code and others you find. I did that as well for a long time.
