Ask a Question

Hello.
The following error message is displayed in the Nicepage settings.

”The active theme has a version lower than the plugin version. Please update the theme too.”

I don't know how to deal with this issue.
Is it not enough to just update the Nicepage plugin to the latest version?
If you have any problems in operating the web page in the future, please tell me how to deal with it.

Hi,

This is not the error message, this is only the warning that the version of your Theme is lower than the plugin version.
We constantly improve Nicepage (and changes are sometimes significant), so we recommend that you update the Theme from time to time.

The Nicepage Theme (header, footer, Blog and Post templates, e-commerce templates) can be created in the Desktop app only. So just update your Desktop app to the most recent 3.13.2 version https://nicepage.com/User/app/downloads and open your Project >> export the THeme and install it on your WP site.
Here you will find detailed instructions https://nicepage.com/doc/67768/export-and-update-of-wp-theme-from-app

Hello Daniele,

Designing and updating the Theme is possible only in the Nicepage desktop app, and not via the plugin.

Hi,

No, there is no possibility to export the content created on the WP site back in the desktop application.

Hi,

this post is a little bit older but I am facing now the same problem.

Your statement would mean that I can only make changes in the desktop app, otherwise changes that were only made in WordPress will be overwritten when the theme is updated.

So why should I use NicePage inside WordPress?

Hi,

In WP you can use Nicepage plug-in and it allows to change the content only. The desktop application is used to update the theme. When you export the theme only, it does not override the content of your site.

Hello Nicepage support.

The statement you made is not correct. I have created my site using online builder, and then imported the product (site) into wordpress. I am having the same warning.

Kind regards, Kristina

How should I do it when I have edited my content in wordpress? Do I have to import it to my desktop and then export it again?

Hello,

I would like to ask for clarification: if I no longer have the Nicepage project in my Windows application, is there still a solution to update the Nicepage plugin on WordPress?

Thank you in advance for your support.

Best regards,
Daniele

Hello,

Do you mean to update the theme file?
You can export your header/footer from plugin pages and import blocks into a blank new project file to recreate the theme you have or simply create a new one.

Please avoid reviving old threads to prevent unnecessary notifications to the original poster. In case of any questions, please create a new ticket.
Let us know.
