Overview

Sometimes, you may need to allow Nicepage to access the Documents folder. This article explains how to allow access to the Documents folder and correct folder permissions on macOS. The example below is for Catalina 10.15.

Allow Access to Documents

  1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu >> System Preferences >> click Security & Privacy >> click Privacy.
  2. Select Files and Folders.
  3. Please select the checkbox below the Nicepage application to access files and folders in that location.

Assign Folder Permissions

1.Select the Documents folder >> choose File > Get Info.
2. If the information in Sharing & Permissions isn't visible, click the disclosure triangle
3. Click the lock icon to unlock it.
4. Enter an administrator's name and password.
5. Click a user or group in the Name column, then choose a permission setting from the pop-up menu. We recommend "Read & Write."

Apply Permissions To All Items

  1. select Documents folder >> choose File > Get Info.
  2. Click the lock icon to unlock it.
  3. Enter an Administrator's Name and Password.
  4. Click the Action pop-up menu >> choose "Apply to enclosed items."
