text to hyperlink is making a button automatically

Hi,

Starting with a few recent updates Nicepage uses Button control to style Text links too. Now more style options are available for text links. But the Button control uses HTML <a> element. Therefore, the link is still a link.

I have to be honest this creates more work for us. Why does it have to be a button? Let us choose if we want the text hyperlink to be a button or not.

We'll consider your feedback, for now please simply click on the different link style in the button control options in the right panel so the link style will be applied.

It's a nightmare to manage ahrefs links since you modify them to buttons... If the anchor is "long".. then it generates two "buttons". It's really awfull. Please do not transform links in button anymore!

Managing ahrefs links is inconvenient because you turn them into buttons ... Leave us the choice of whether we want a button or a text with a hyperlink. Please don't convert the links into the button anymore!

I've been asking for this to be put back to the old version for a while. Since the latest update it is now EVEN WORSE!! the colour controls to try and make it a plain text link now don't work on individual links. I had to go back and reset the button and link controls on the template page to the colours I wanted to one link. This update is terrible! Please, Please, Please, bring back plain text links!!!

I agree. The button is terrible and useless for textlinks.Please make them possible again!

I had this problem too after one of their updates and have been asking for quite a while for text links to be brought back. I hope Nice Page is working on this as it seems it's something your users need.

I just don't understand the reasoning behind it. Things were working fine before. If we want to use a button we click on add a button.

Now the text link is a style of the button. But this allows you to edit the style of the links in the Text control.
Exactly what difficulties you encountered with the updated control except for the different name of the control? The link is still a link.

I understand that but when it just needs to flow with the paragraph you cause us extra work. The "button" breaks up the text. Instead of everything working with ease and using one text box we now have to adjust and line up the "button", create another text box to fit in with the rest of the text. So much extra work. Please set this back.

I also found this a little weird. I like that by changing it to a button it gives you more options (that's cool) just it behaves like a bug?
We should be able to have all text in the link behave and wrap as this html forum editor does.

Please try to re-export the Theme from the latest Desktop version (2.24.4). Then install it on your website. This should help.

I get that it changes it to a button and gives it more options (that's
cool) just it doesn't allow the text link to wrap

We have already added this feature Wrapping Links and Buttons in Text with 2.23 version https://nicepage.com/doc/nicepage-2-23-august-19-2020-copy-and-paste-blocks-in-wordpress-and-joomla-90864 and I don't see any problems with this on my side.

I have several text links in one section, which annoyingly now change to buttons. BUT even though the links have been set up correctly to each button links, even when hoovering on live site. STILL a different page is opened. What on earth is this. You can check this from

Scroll down to Toukokuu 2021 and press link Social Panorama consultant. As you can see from footer, it should open page https://www.nlpkoulutus.info/social-panorama-consultant/, but instead it opens page https://ilmonet.fi/. That is the link for some other hyperlinks on that sections, but why does it open on all other links as well.

THIS IS TERRIBLE. THE WHOLE PAGE IS UNUSUABLE.

The problem has nothing to do with the fact that the links inside the text control became buttons.
You have set this link https://ilmonet.fi/ for all Grid cell (which starts with the text control Suhde itseen - totta ja tarua). Please check the link settings for this Grid cell in the Editor.
