Report a bug

After installing the current update, all HREFs we create are suddenly being created as buttons, and I can't find any work-around to fix the problem. It's putting line breaks all throughout our text because of this.

Hi,

I am not confident this will work without screwing up the site. Last time I did this, it screwed up menus, headers, footers, and something else I can't remember.

This is the only way to fix the reported issue. You do not need to reinstall content, menus, etc. You just need to export the theme and install it on your website. You can install it as a new theme and keep the old theme if needed.

Hi,

You can use links also, just check the styling. Let me know if you have any issues about that.

Hi,

If you're using a Nicepage theme, please update the Nicepage Desktop application and reinstall the theme only. This should solve the issue.

All links now use Button control for styling. This is behavior by design.

I am not confident this will work without screwing up the site. Last time I did this, it screwed up menus, headers, footers, and something else I can't remember. Are you sure this is safe for a production site?

I would feel more comfortable, based on what happened last time, if I just went in manually and edited whatever needed to be fixed with vi. Is that possible?

Despite behavior by design you should be able to use a simple text link when designing a website, especially when it was possible before with NicePage.
