Ask a Question

If you select a pre-set grid with text in it as the footer the text will not show up. This is in joomla by the way. In the preview window it will show up but it will not in a live joomla site. If you just insert your own text box it does work so I did find a work around but just an FYI, it needs to fixed.

Hi Ian,

All the sections we provide in the library for the footer are containing the module positions with the blocks of text. So you need to insert your modules in Joomla in the corresponding positions.
If you click on the text inside Nicepage editor, you should see the Position option in the right panel.

Please, how do you sort this out? I have nightmare on this. And all the video don't seemed to be understandably working. As if one would have to create a separate template for every features one desire. How many template would one have to create to have positions like footer one , two, three, four etc , side bar position (right or left) one, two, three etc.

My main issue is this. the footer content I made with desktop never showed up when exported. then I went to the exported template and recreated the footer as it was in the desktop. And it showed up. I was thinking, Great! My problem is solve but it was the beginning of another nightmare. It does not show up in any content I created using Joomla native editor, except I use Nice page plug in. And I am upgrading the site. Which means I will have to export the content from the old site and its a large with a lot of pages. If its a new site, I would just go ahead and create all the content with nicepage plugin.

I mailed the developer, and they reply I have to create the a module to sit on that position through the position and short code menu. I did that and created in a grid cell (1,2,3,4) as footer 1,2,3,4 . delete the site and installed a new site and export the temp with content (every option selected). And what happened? When I go to the modules, I see all the footer I created with the template but no position. I then tried to place them in position but only see footer 1 and 2 position. I never saw the those footer 1- 4 position I created. I believe the ones I saw are the ones that came with the template I used for the footer [May be one should delete the one that comes with the template used and create it from the scratch; not even sure that would solve the problem] Well, I went ahead to place them there and at the front end, they lined up vertically instead of horizontal. Hhhhhhnnnnmmmmmm!

I don't want to to keep bothering the developer. So I started searching the forum and I see this article. Kindly advise; though I will still open a ticket for this. I believe strongly on this Apps and putting heads together and making suggestion, we can make evolve to the point of excellence we all anticipate and expected it to have.
Thank you in anticipation.
