Report a bug

ok, so I bought a license this morning.

With the free version, the HTML code worked locally and on my server.

Now, with the licensed software, the HTML code works locally, but not from my server.

Looking at the source code of the index file on the server, it is empty.

Can somebody tell me where the problem lies?

an extremely "p*****d off

Hi Michael,

Could you please provide more details about the issue. As I understand, you ку-exported the HTML website one more time and uploaded it to your server. But this time the index.html file is empty. Right? Please check the index.html file on the server. Does it contain any code?
Could you please provide the problem exported website and the Nicepage Desktop website exported as Project. We'll check this issue on our side.

Hi Olivia,

I left it for a day to get my head clear. Today I loaded the HTML to a different website and it showed straight away. On the first site, I got a blank page showing no code at all when looking at the source. When I looked at the file in Plesk it had code of course.

At a quick glance, I noted that the first website was running PHP 7.2.32 on Nginx, the second PHP 7.4.8 on Apache. Could that have something to do with my problem?

Of course, I can send the exported website and the site from the server if you wish. PHP Info as well?

Michael

Hi Michael,

If you exported static HTML, then there is no difference in what PHP version is used because the HTML website does not contain any PHP code. It is just a static HTML website (HTML, CSS, and js files).

Did you add any PHP code to the page in Nicepage? Please note that PHP control is for CMS export only.
Does the issue happen if you open any other page directly (except index.html)?

Hi,

Nicepage HTML page is a simple static HTML. There is nothing except HTML. And nothing that may cause PHP errors. If the page were exported and there is an HTML code in the page.html file, then something should be displayed in any case if something goes wrong then, most probably, it came from the server. But each case should be investigated separately.

For example, the .htaccess may contain specific filename like index.php for the website index page (parameter DirectoryIndex). In this case, index.html will not be loaded.

We suggest that you check server error logs and search for the errors that may bring some light on this issue.
