Ask a Question

Hi, here is the result of a SEO-research (seobility.org) on my site. Please see the open issues and tell me if you will work on them.

  1. Titel: Imkerei Eifel-Gold
Der Titel ist zu kurz. (162 Pixel von maximal 580 Pixel Länge)
  2. Canonical Link
  4. Images: Kein ALT-Attribut angegeben

Hope this will be done soon, since I use nicepage my site lost many places in Goolge - I will leave nicepage soon if there is no fix on this and I have read some older posts on these toppics (canonical link) - so it can't be new for you.

I look forward to your answer.

Sincerly, Michael

none of this but the 4th is a nicepage issue

  1. Title too short: that's your page title. Something YOU decide
  2. Canonical URL: is actually a good thing: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canonical_link_element It prevent creating duplicate content https://yoast.com/rel-canonical/
  3. If this is an HTML design, i guess it could be done by nicepage. But if you're using a CMS, language tag is handled at the CMS level
  4. Images: Thats something you need to set. But a functionality not yet offered within nicepage. If you're using a CMS, the CMS itself can handle that or extensions

Hi,

I have also written several articles on SEO here. On the subject of SEo they are deaf here. I would very much like to use Nicepage for an active page. So far I have never got beyond the "try" status. Too many problems remain. New Feuaters are presented every week. That seems to be a priority right now. I have written it here several times: What good is it if you can create nice and quick content if you do not adhere to the Seo principles.

Greetings

Nicepage Desktop (html-export)

Multi-page website: Canonical URL in every pages refers to the same page "index.html". This means that google ignores all pages except "index.html". This is an SEO disaster.

Hi,

Thank you for your comments.

The point #4 refers to the ALT attribute. But Nicepage provides the option to add alternative text for IMAGES ("SEO alt" option). There is no such option for background images because this is style property, not the real HTML object.

Title too short: that's your page title. Something YOU decide

max. 30 letters - NOT my decision!

Canonical URL: is actually a good thing:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canonical_link_element It prevent
creating duplicate content https://yoast.com/rel-canonical/

I am able to decide for myself if some content is double, no need for nicepage to decide this for me. Double content (e.g. for a print-friendly copy of my site) does not need to be indexed by searchengines (I agree) - but not all sites are double content.

If this is an HTML design, i guess it could be done by nicepage. But if you're using a CMS, language tag is handled at the CMS level

Images: Thats something you need to set. But a functionality not yet offered within nicepage. If you're using a CMS, the CMS itself can
handle that or extensions

I don't use nicepage with a CMS

Hello Michael,

Thank you for your feedback, it's very important for us!

Related to your questions:
1. Canonical URL will be fixed in the nearest update
2. Lang attribute also will be added to HTML Tag
3. Page title limit will be increased to 100 characters. But fo SEO you should use Title property from Page Setting dialog (doesn't any limitation for this property)

Alex

Nice news.

and now another possibility to compress Java scripts and CSS files?
That would be it!
It would be a reason for me to continue with Nicepage. Especially since other page builders have it in their package.

If you care more about SEO, Nicepage can get really big! (if Virtuemart ever runs)

I basically like working with Nicepag. But losing rankings also means losing money for a lot.

Greetings from Germany

These issues haven't been fixed yet. Almost a year later. Or do I miss something?

Hi,

These problems were solved.
1. You can set a canonical URL for each page under the Page Settings >> SEO >> Canonical.
2. You have the Language attribute setting under the Site Settings >> General tab where you can choose the language.
3. As said before, you need to use SEO >> Title option to set the desired page URL and it has no limitations.

Hella
