Report a bug

When editing header on live website (nicepage online editor) the header modifications is not working for the article page.
The article page keeps the "old" header designed inside nicepage software before exporting to wordpress.

Hi Aristide,

The changes that you perform for the Header and Footer in the plug-in on the live site are applied only to the Pages created with Nicepage. To make the general header edits you need to edit the header in your desktop application and export the new Theme.

then I guess that if it's not a bug it's a feature request but it seems really weird to me that there's 2 headers (one for the page one for the theme..) what if a client want to modify and existing theme on his website ? they won't understand and/or download nicepage software & learn to export theme to their website..

Hi Aristide,

Yes, that is a feature, we have added it to allow to use the different header for the pages. The Theme can be edited in the desktop application and some options can be edited under the Customizer in WP.

Well that's some really weird feature you are adding to nicepage..
What kind of website needs that

This just look like a bug magically disguised as a feature.

Once again: no client will understand that.

Hi Aristide,

Actually the theme elements like header and footer are not supposed to be edited by the customer. You can edit them for your customer and upload the new theme.

Then why add the possibility of editing this inside the wordpress plugin ? this make no sense at all.
I agree that they should not modify this, but the main problem is actually they CAN .. :/

Hi,

There are two versions of Header and Footer: theme Header/Footer and Plugin Header/Footer. The plugin Header/Footer can be displayed on the Nicepage pages and edited with the plugin. And it can be used even if the Nicepage theme is not installed. For example, you need some pages to have a completely different design.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.
