Ask a Question

Page Exported as HTML and file size is huge.

I recreated a website that was made in Adobe Muse the index file size in amuse when exported was around 1mb and the same file doze when exported in Nice page is 7MB. It has the same structure with images and gallery on the homepage. But why is nicepage exporting such a big file. It’s causing issues with the page load speed. The old website loads in about 3 to 4 secs and one created in nicepage take around 8 to 9 seconds. Why??

Here is s side by side comparison RIP Adobe Muse vs NicePage

Need to understand whats happening...and if this can be fixed. If not then whats the alternate. Also, I've a dedicated server for hosting sites so I know its not the server causing an issue.

Also, look at the Google Page Speed score for both platforms and the page size I mean blown away with the difference.

Any help or alternate would be highly appreciated.

Hi,

What is the size of the uploaded images? Nicepage does not optimize images.

I figured out the hard way that NP doesnt compress the images. What image size do you recommend and also If I compress the image and when people open that in lightbox wouldnt the images be blur??

Thanks,
Sam

You can close this ticket. But please see if you could add image compression to your bucket list!!!

Hi Sam,

We recommend using images with one of the sides is no more than 1600 px AND the file size should be no more than 256 KB. Although even with these recommended file sizes, there may still be problems with file resizing. Unfortunately, at this moment we can't say when exactly this problem will be solved, but our developers are working on this problem.

Let us know if you have any further questions.
