There are two ways of adding the search function to a WordPress site: add the search widget to a sidebar in Nicepage Desktop and add it as a widget in WordPress, Appearance, Widgets.
If I add the search control in Nicepage Desktop, I get the top search box and button shown in the attachment; added as a widget to a sidebar/position in Wordpress itself, I get the bottom search box and button.
Neither of these is ideal: in the Nicepage Desktop search box and button, the button has its own styling that is different from the theme's button styling and the white text on the button can barely be seen.
In the search box and button inserted into a position and sidebar, the search box has no border or background unless it has focus - see the second attachment.
Is there a way to have control over the styling of either of the search boxes and buttons?
