Linked blocks

Ask a Question

I'm creating a games site to show my 4 arcade games, each with its own block which includes a picture, title, text and a play and help button.
To get it to look right I've had to adjust all 4 block in all 5 device views.
Is there a way to do linked blocks which all have the same components, but different content so I can just modify the layout once per device? It seems rather manual.
Or, do you need to get your first block perfect and then copy it?

Hi,

Unfortunately, Nicepage does not support the option to save the existing block as preset. I suggest that you try copying the first block. Then change the block content.
Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Thanks for the reply.
The other problem I'm having is that the resizing of blocks is inconsistent across the 5 devices.
If I resize a block on one device to get rid of some white space it works fine.
If I resize a block on another device it wants to scale the elements, even though these is a big block of white space at the bottom of the block I'm trying to get rid off.

Hi,

Could you please provide a few screenshots that demonstrate the issue with block resizing.

Thanks for the quick reply.
I've figured out what was going on. I had 3 components ending in the same place, the cell, grid and block. If I grab hold of the cell and shrink that first it works fine.

when designing game pages with multiple similar blocks. Usually the easiest approach is to create one block with the exact layout you want, make sure it looks perfect on all device views, and then duplicate it for the other games. After copying, you can simply change the image, title, and text while keeping the same structure. This saves a lot of time compared to adjusting every block separately. Some builders also support reusable or linked components, which can help keep the design consistent across the site. It’s similar to how developers and gamers customize experiences in different ways—like adding mods such as Jenny Mod Minecraft to change gameplay while keeping the base structure the same. Once your main block is designed well, duplicating it is usually the most practical workflow.
