Ask a Question

Hi there,

I want to add breadcrumbs in my joomla template. Inside NP I see the breadcrumbs placeholder, but on my site there are no breadcrumbs.

I placed it on several positions, new block, header, inside existing block - nothing to see :-(

Regards

Peter

Well you still need to assign the joomla "breadcrumbs" module to the breadcrumbs position

Thank you!

I did this, but I only see the breadcrumbs at post template, not on nicepage pages or pages with other menu item like forum or something else.

The breadcrumbs are shown below the menu title instead of above and I do not see it in nicepage (deleted) and cannot place it left justified because the plcaholder isn't there anymore (because it was visible twice).

you could make a custom "content position" and place it on all pages / templates and use that one instead. Note: custom content positions don't appear in the module position dropdown. They still work though. Just enter the module position as you typed it in nicepage and press enter.

So far so good, but

  • In nicepage I cannot place the breadcrumbs at right position (to far right placed), because there are no breadcrumbs. But I can activate te position and they are visible !?

  • It only works on post and blog template (wrong position), not at nicepage pages or foreign components like forum or something else

As i said, add a custom content module, name that perhaps "breadcrumb" instead of joomla's default "breadcrumbs" then set the breadcrumbs module to that position you created. Those will display on all pages.
