Online Website builder has no "Export" feature?

Ask a Question

According to docs, only desktop (Window/Mac) versions have "Export" feature.

Online editor is, from that respect, pretty useless for me. I am primarily a Linux user, and switching to Windows environment solely for the ability to export the designed site/pages is cumbersome.

Do you plan to add the export feature to online (in-browser) editor as well?

Thanks.

Hi Konstantin,

We have this request to our wish list and we added this feature to our voting we launched some time ago. But this feature is not so popular:
https://nicepage.com/questions/7044/nicepage-update-sep-oct-2018
We'll discuss its implementation as soon as we support the most requested features.

In the meantime please note that you can use Nicepage plugin for CMS on your CMS on any system

hi, i used to work with artisteer, themler and now just bought nicepage, i'm surprised it's light (then it's really faster than themler, good) but i was also surprised not to be able to fully edit theme in wordpress (didn't read any advice about that before buying).

I'm also running on Linux, so i just downloaded windows version and setup with WINE in Linux Mint 18 it seems to work. Fonts are bad but i hope i can fix this in wine configiration. I will try to create a full desgin this afternoon and export to wordpress, i guess it will work properly.

Did Konstantin tried this ? Do you have reports of customers using nicepage with wine ?

Hi Maxime,

We haven't tested the desktop application under Wine and I also haven't heard about that from our customers, but nice to hear that it works for you so far.
As for the theme editing. For now theme edit is available only in the desktop version. The plug-in working like a content editor only. But we are thinking about the ability to implement the theme editing inside ерпу plug-in as well.

Similarly, no success (Ubuntu 18.04). Keeping a separate Windows installation for Nicepage only is just too many resources wasted.

Actually, I am more frustrated to know that you don't actually plan to either add export function into Web-version, or create a Linux desktop version.

A year ago, answering my inquire, you (Nicepage representative) hinted the above might be in plans.

Hi Konstantin,

One of our customers reported an issue with the right panel, and he mentioned that he is working with Nicepage under Wine on Linux. looks like it is possible to start Nicepage under Wine. Unfortunately, he did not mention what system he is using. Maybe you need to install additional libraries.

Unfortunately, we do not plan to develop a Linux version in the near future but this feature is in our wish list.

Hi Olivia,

This time, I decided to give Nicepage a try one more time and renewed the license - even though it means me quite a headache to find the Windows system every time I would need it.

I would appreciate the details on how the mentioned person managed to run Nicepage under Wine (i.e., system used, Wine version, other details, if any).

Sincerely,
Konstantin

I would love this feature to export in Joomla/Wordpress doerctly. I only just noticed that I am locked in with Nicepage on a Joomla website. I used to use Themler fully in Joomla in the cloud but now realise Nicepage doesn't work fully in the cloud. Painful.

A linux version would be good as I am a linux user as many developers are. Desktop software is so 10 years ago. Expecially when you have most of the functionality in the cloud already and have done it before.

Well, while there's no Linux version, I stop renewing Nicepage in favor of other approaches.
