I apologize for not answering right away but had to table this issue for another pressing one. I have exported the files again as a Wordpress file and made sure all of boxes were ticked like before. I uploaded the zipped file again and unpacked it under Appearance, as before. I must have done the same steps a dozen times prior to writing you to make sure I wasn't overlooking something and today I followed the same exact procedure and for some reason it unzipped and worked. (head shaking)
But, that opens up a new question now. I assumed when I exported the website as a Wordpress file that it would take everything I designed and put it in the zipped file so when it was uploaded and viewed, the site would look just like my HTML site. It doesn't. It only shows the colors, a text header and a text footer in a layout different than the HTML site is.
I originally started this radio show host's site many, many years ago in HTML. I then moved it over to Artisteer and used that editor until Nicepage was introduced to us. I have been pleased with the changes that Nicepage continues to do and hope it gets to where it can compete with some of the other editors that are browser based that offer wonderful options.
With that being said, my reason for purchasing Nicepage each year was to offer clients the option to edit their own site after I develop it so being able to export to Wordpress was a perfect option. However, if none of the design or images are exported and the site is just a basic starting page on Wordpress with the site colors, it won't do my client any good. I am not versed well enough in Wordpress to develop it within Wordpress so was elated that Artisteer and Nicepage had those options. I hope I have overlooked something to make the Wordpress files replicate the HTML site. This is the first client that wished to have it converted to Wordpress so now I'm scrambling. I don't have the time to learn Wordpress from the bottom up to create the site so it looks like the HTML site. help.
Did I misunderstand how Nicepage works with the export options? Does Nicepage not export the site as it was designed in HTML so that it is perfectly replicated into a Wordpress site?
The site I have done for my client is at http://www.americanvarietyradio.com
I have also attached two screencaptures, one of the export options to show everything was "ticked" and also what the site looks like in "Live Design" in Wordpress. I did not click the publish button in Wordpress because I do not want Google to search it and have links to my temporary domain I'm using for testing purposes.
Thank you for your help and understanding. If I have overlooked something, please let me know! The support from you all is very good!
