How do I add a search bar onto my header?

I'm not IT-trained but I'm trying to revamp my company's page with Nicepage. So far it is intuitive but my manager wants to add a search bar onto the page so people can find the content they need in my site. Could you explain to me (in a way I understand) how to find the correct block to add on, and what else I need to do to ensure the search works correctly?

Jonathan,

You can try add Search element to Header or Footer for Add Elements menu.
It should work without any special setup process if you are using Wordpress or Joomla CMS.

For HTML export you will need to setup something like Google Search for your website.

Hi Eugene

Following on Jonathan's request, I'm also not a programmer and have selected a search option a my site's header. I use HTML as export option for hosting my site, but have not idea what to put where to allow visitors to search my site.

Any help with this would be much appreciated.

Hi,

At this moment, Nicepage search control does not provide a search engine for HTML export. This control is for CMS export only.

Hi,

The search results page will be using the Post Template, you can edit that template design.

Hi,

Please open the Post template in the Desktop Project (Theme tab >> Post template) and modify this template (arrange controls the way you want to see them on the page result.
The Search page on your site uses this template after the site is uploaded to the server.
