Ask a Question

Hello, dear team,

I'd like to disable the auto-update, but it seems that the option isn't available to me. What can I do? I'm using the desktop version v8.4.0.
Thank you for your help!

Best regards,
Angela

Hi, Angela

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We can see that you have an active subscription with us. However, the option to disable auto-update is only available for licensed plans.

As an alternative, if you’re prompted to update, you can click 'Update Later' to prevent the update from taking place.

If you have any additional questions, we’ll be happy to help.

Hi, Edgar,
thanks for the quick reply! I have a "Nicepage Pro Subscription". I'm not sure what the difference is between that and a "licensed plan". Does that mean Nicepage Ultimate?
Sincerely,
Angela

Hi, Angela

Thank you for your question.

As for your question about the difference between a license and a subscription:

When you purchase a license, you get one year of free updates (updates for the plugin version for WordPress/Joomla, or for the desktop app). After that year ends, you can continue using the last available version indefinitely — but with some limitations related to online functions.

With a subscription, it is cheaper than a license. You also get one year of free updates, but after that year, you’ll need to renew the subscription to continue using premium features. Once the subscription expires, you cannot use it anymore.

Your last purchase was a subscription. This means that you have converted your previous licenses into a subscription, and now you will not be able to use the premium features of past Nicepage versions for free.
