Hello,

I made some websites on the desktop Nicepage app. Exported all the sites. After I reinstalled windows on my computer I cant import back the websites. It said " Invalid Nicepage projeck file". Its a zip i want to import. What can I do?

Vote to pay developers attention to this features or issue.

Thank you for reaching out.

Could you please clarify the format in which you exported the websites from the Desktop application?

From your description, it appears that you are trying to import a ZIP file that may not be a native Nicepage project file.

Please note that only Nicepage project exports can be imported back into the Desktop app. These project files contain specific internal files and structures that allow the application to recognize them as valid project files. Standard HTML exports (even if zipped) cannot be imported back into Nicepage.

To help you further, could you please confirm:

  • Did you export using Project and Export → Project tab → Export button?
  • Or did you export as HTML / WordPress / Joomla?
  • If possible, please share a screenshot of the contents of the ZIP file (showing the root files inside it).

Once we see the file structure, we can advise you on the next steps.

I think I exported as a HTML zip file.

Hello József,

Yes, based on the screenshot, your ZIP file contains an HTML export, not a Nicepage project file. Unfortunately, HTML exports cannot be imported back into the Nicepage Desktop application, so it is not possible to restore the project from this file.
