Ask a Question

Hello.
I have downloaded the latest v7 (7.6.4) but get this notice, meaning there is a later version which is not available on your website.

It's very bad that the popup has a link to UPDATE... and when you get there, you can only update to v8! really not honest.
And even worse, Nicepage tells me v 7.14 is NOT the premium version???
Why??

Check the first link in my previous post.
If your license expired (March 20, 2025), you can’t go past the latest version there.
If you updated your site with a newer version and try opening it with an older version it’s probably not going to work.
It says you need 7.6.4.

Surely I would be entitled to any v7 software? Or is 7.6.4 the last I can use?

Hi Mark,

You can check the versions that are available for you using this link:
https://nicepage.com/User/app/downloads

It shows the latest releases that were available while your license was in the active updates period.

If version 7.14 is not in the list, then it was released after the free updates period expired. Actually, it was released in October and your free updates expired in March, that's why it is not available for you. And now you are trying to open the project that was created in a version that is higher than yours and you can use it only without premium features.
If you have a backup of that project saved with version 7.6 or lower, then you can import it into your application.

Thanks for the info. All that should be made clear... But more importantly it is really dishonest that they make it so easy to download and install an upgraded version without you realising that you will lose functionality and then you can harm yourself by updating your projects inadvertently.

Hi Mark,

It is a normal practice to use the latest versions of the software that are better and have more features. In any case, if you do not wish to update and use the latest version, you can always stay with the version you have, just decline the update notice. And in order to keep your projects available, we have the backup option that is automatically switched on by default unless you manually disable it in the application settings.

Giving users 7 days of "free" Premium when they have downloaded and installed an updated software, perhaps thinking that they were entitled to that update, is manipulative and dishonest. NOWHERE do you say BEFORE installation that this software is going to REMOVE you from the Premium plan, unless you pay more! This is extremely sneaky and I am considering making a youtube video to warn other users about your dodgy activity.

Hello Mark,

It looks like there appears to be a misunderstanding.

Nicepage licenses include an update period. When that period expires, you may continue using the last version released during your active update period without any limitations to your plan.

If you install a newer version released after your update period ended, the application clearly shows that your update period has expired and provides a temporary 7-day Premium access (the warning pop-up). This is intended to let users review the changes and decide whether to renew or not.

This information is stated in our pricing table as well as FAQ section, and no Premium features are removed from versions you were already entitled to use. You are never required to upgrade—simply reinstalling the last eligible version fully restores your previous access.

There is no intent to mislead or manipulate users, and we’re sorry this caused frustration.

Please reach out if you need any assistance or have further questions.

Sincerely,
Anna.
