Ask a Question

Hi there,

The version was accidentally updated to the latest version because the prompt kept popping up and I probably clicked on it by mistake.
So I had to downgrade again. But now all my websites have somehow disappeared. How can I restore them?
Since I purchased a Pro license once, I thought it should at least be possible to import them again.
Can I also re-import a website that was previously exported in HTML as a project, or do I really have to start from scratch?

Best
Gert

Hi Gert,

Could you please clarify if that happens on Windows or MacOS?

Unfortunately, there is no way to import HTML sites back to the app. You can import only Project files.

Gert,

Thanks for clarifying.

For Windows, please run the Nicepage app as an administrator and let us know if the Projects appear after that.

For MacOS, please make sure you allow the Nicepage app to access the folder with your Projects. Here is the guide: https://nicepage.com/doc/84207/access-to-documents-folder.

Will these actions be helpful?

Hi Paul,
thank you, but unfortunately they weren't displayed that way.
Anyway, I've since found an older backup with the project files.
I imported them and it worked. Fortunately, it wasn't too old, so I only had to make a few changes/updates to get to the current status.
Nevertheless, thank you very much for your quick response and support.
Best
Gert

Hello Gert,

Please note you can disable auto update of your app in your Preferences to avoid such situations in the future, see attached.
Let us know if you need any assistance or have further questions.
