Hi Marc,
Thank you for your question.
This is a very common point of confusion, so we are glad you asked.
The key detail is how the site was exported.
How editing after export works in Nicepage
As long as the website was **exported or saved as a Nicepage project file, you can:
- Remove the site from your dashboard to stay within the 5-site limit of the Personal plan
- Later re-import the project file into Nicepage
- Continue editing the site normally
In this case, nothing is lost, and you do not need to rebuild the site from scratch.
Important limitation to be aware of
If the site was exported only as HTML (ZIP) or published to hosting without keeping the project file, then:
- That HTML output cannot be re-imported back into Nicepage as an editable project
- The design structure is not preserved in HTML
- Rebuilding would unfortunately, be required
Recommended workflow for premium users
To safely work within the premium limit:
- Always save or export your site as a project file.
- Keep the project file backed up locally.
- Remove the site from the dashboard if needed.
- Re-import the Nicepage project file when you want to edit it again.
This approach is fully supported and works well for all premium users.

Sincerely,
Ahmad.
