Hello Anatolijs,
Thank you for reaching out!
If you're unable to upload your WordPress project as a theme because of the 256 MB file size limit, your hosting server likely has a limit on the maximum upload size.
To solve this, here are a few options:
Increase the limit (if possible)
You can try increasing it by:
Editing your php.ini file (if your hosting allows):
upload_max_filesize = 512M
post_max_size = 512M
Or ask your hosting support to raise the upload limit.
Upload via hosting panel or FTP
Please let us know the result.

Dear Anatolijs,
Thank you for the update!
Since the maximum upload size is set to 512 MB and smaller projects upload successfully, the issue might be related to one of the following:
Timeout during upload
Large files may take longer to process, and the server could be timing out before the upload finishes.
Server PHP limits
Some hosting environments restrict:
max_execution_timememory_limitpost_max_sizeFile corruption
Double-check that the archive is not corrupted. Try re-exporting the project from Nicepage and uploading again.
Browser limitation or interruption
Try uploading the file using a different browser or incognito mode to rule out browser extensions or caching issues.
If the issue persists, please let us know:

The project was uploaded via FTP, but only the header and footer and the ground floor were uploaded to the project. The pages are not loading. Maybe it has something to do with the PHP version? This project was uploaded to a different domain in April 2025 and is working successfully.
upload from WP, plugin NP import
It feels like the project doesn’t contain any pages. But the project size of 263 MB suggests that there are pages there.
Hello,
Unfortunately, you cannot upload the content by FTP because the content pages are not included in the theme and stored in the WordPress database.
The plugin import option displayed in this screenshot

allows importing content if you exported it with the following option:
The project is quite big. Did you check the following directives in the php.ini?
max_execution_time
memory_limit
post_max_size

I have fixed the problem.The problem was a server-side upload limit. The project was too large (263 MB). Unfortunately, the limit can only be changed by editing the script. Didn't help to edit the php.ini file.
Hello,
We're glad that you managed to solve the issue.
