Page is messed up on my site

Ask a Question

Hi! I am updating my website in a sandbox on GoDaddy.com. I have uploaded your template "Full-service design studio HTML Template," but it is not 100% right. I have resized all of my images to the match yours and made sure the fonts are the same, but the graphics are still off.

I assume it is something being knocked off by my current theme. I would like to know what theme you are using in your demo page (https://nicepage.com/ht/117349/full-service-design-studio-html-template) so that I can attempt to make my page look like yours.

Any assistance you can offer is appreciated as this has my whole team stumped.
Thanks!

Hello,

Thank you for your interest in Nicepage.

This is a pre-designed Page - https://nicepage.com/ht/117349/full-service-design-studio-html-template.
You can add it to your existing project or to a new blank project and create your own designs for other pages as well as a whole site's template.

If you have any questions or need help with your page/site, feel free to let us know—we’re happy to assist.

I did exactly that in WordPress, and it's messed up. Everythign is just slightly off after I uploaded new photos, despite the photos being the exact same size as the ones on the page. I assume it is because of the theme that has to be installed before the page is added. Please let me know what theme y'all had installed when it was created. Thanks!

Hello,

This is a page sample, not an actual theme with pages. Exactly in this example, any theme can be used.
Most probably, you have imported only the content, and after import and your live pages have some other theme, is that correct?
You need to export your page from the desktop app as theme + content as described in this article.

Please check and let us know if you manage to achieve the desired result.

You say that any theme can be used, but that is not true. The theme I'm using changed all of the fonts and layout of your sample page.

My sandbox has a theme with a customized header and footer. The page was messed up because the fonts all changed based on the theme. I changed the fonts back, but the graphics are still messed up.

I did not use the nicepage desktop app. I downloaded the page inside of my WordPress sandbox by searching the number 117349. Is that what you mean by importing the content only?

I'm confused because you say I can use any theme, but then say I have to exprt theme + content. Let me see if this article lends any clarity.

So far, I"m not achieving the desired result. This was supposed to be simple...

Hello,

Now I see.

Exactly in this example, any theme can be used.
You have asked about the theme used for this example. We do not have this info; any theme can be used.

Please check this page and description once again, this is an HTML page design that should be edited with desktop app or online builder. You can edit it first, change images, colors, fonts, add other theme settings and after you can use it for your WordPress site. You will need to install Nicepage plugin into your WordPress site and import your previously edited template as per instructions here
In your case, you have imported the HTML page into WordPress without proper configuration, which is why it doesn't look like it should.

Thanks for trying. Clearly nice page isn't as nice as I had hoped it would be. It appears the answer is that it simply doesn't work as advertised.
Have a great day!

Hello,

We're sorry to hear that your experience with Nicepage hasn't met your expectations so far.

You can integrate any Nicepage design into an HTML site or CMS-based platform, including WordPress. However, when working within WordPress, the active theme (like Twenty Twenty-Five) can override aspects of the imported design — especially fonts, colors, and layout behavior.

To avoid such issues, we recommend first adding your predesigned page to a blank project in the Nicepage Desktop App or Online Builder. This allows you to control the layout and theme styles more precisely, without interference from the WordPress theme.

We’ve also tested the referenced page ID using a clean Nicepage-generated page with the plugin installed on WordPress, and apart from the font styling (which comes from the active theme), we did not observe the layout issues you mentioned.

We’re happy to help investigate further and guide you through resolving the issues if you're open to it.
Let us know how you’d like to proceed — we’re here to assist.

Thank you for finally addressing my original question. This response was actually informative.

I'm still not understanding how to get the page from the "blank project in the Nicepage Desktop App or Online Builder," into my current WordPress site (I tried that first unsuccessfully), but let me see if I can get that to work.

I'm happy to hear that you tested the page and it worked for you. Unfortunatley, mine altered the fonts and moved all the graphics around. So instead of being offset, the graphics are now on top of the image.

Let me try starting from scratch in the desktop app or online builder and seeing whether that resolves the problem. I really do appreciate your help. I'm just very frustrated because I had such high hopes. Thanks!

Hello,

Starting with a blank project in the Desktop App or Online Builder will help you see your design exactly as intended, without interference from any active WordPress theme styles.

Once your design is ready in the Desktop App or Online Builder, you can follow these steps to add it to your WordPress site:

Export your design as a WordPress Theme + Pages from the Nicepage Desktop App.

Install the Nicepage Plugin (if you haven’t yet) on your WordPress site.

Then, upload the exported .zip file via the admin panel >> Appearance >> New Theme Upload >> Import content >> Activate plugin.

The page should now appear correctly.

Please check the full instructions and let us know how it goes, or if you run into anything along the way.

Ok. I started with a blank project in the Online Builder. I now have my page mostly how I want it, so I want to export it to my sandbox so that I can see what it looks like with my theme.

Your instructions say "Export your design as a WordPress Theme + Pages from the Nicepage Desktop App." How do I export the WordPress Theme + Pages from the Online Builder? I don't find an "export" anywhere.

I have installed the Nicepage Plugin already, since that is what the desktop app instructions say to do for a wordpress site. That's what didn't work.

Thanks!

Hello deborah,

Great. You need to press Publish >> WordPress, see attached.
If you want to export only this page's content part, you need to select only "Pages and editor plugin" and import the exported file with the plugin import option.
If you want the full site export, you can select the theme and pages as per the screenshot and import into WP via admin>> new theme upload>>import content.
