Ask a Question

Hello with recaptcha implemented I still get spam emails,
I have creataed both keys ( Version 3.0) in my google recaptcha environment and used them in the site settings in Nicepage.
The recaptcha icon appears on my site in the bottom right corner. tebteam.com So far so well. But I still get spam emails sended from my hosts smtpserver. When I go to my recaptcha admin console there is a message that my site does not verify the recaptcha solutions.
I have tried all recaptcha versions to doublechack, also version2.0 and the one that says "invissible" !

It then points me to this site: Verifying the user's response
https://developers.google.com/recaptcha/docs/verify#api-request

Someone any idea what is going wrong here?

Thanks

I think I found the problem. I think the problem is in the name of the php file itself. Never use the standard name '' action.php'' . This is what I did and apparently the spamrobots search for names like this when they scan your domain. When they find it on your site '' yoursitename.com/action.php '' they make use of it to send emails to the emailadres in the file through the server's smtp.
So just make up your own long and undiscoverable name for this specific file and then adjust the settings of the url in nicepage with this new name.
yoursitename.com/newname.php

It works for me up untill now, no spam anymore since a while.

We are having the same issue with our reCAPTCHA implementation. We have created the keys and put them in site settings and the logo appears on the published website, however, we continue to get spam emails. Our reCAPTCHA admin console also says that our site is not verifying reCAPTCHA tokens. As far as we can see, we don't have a php file named "action.php" so our problem might be different from e.fokkens2's.

We are not sure how to implement the token verification methods described in the Google support page (https://developers.google.com/recaptcha/docs/verify#api-request) within Nicepage. Any help on how to implement this would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Erik,

We do not have such an instruction as we do not support custom code modifications. Maybe some instructions from reCaptcha will be helpful for you.

Recaptcha V3 is ineffective on the site I just tried it on using the contact form block. I get tons of spam mail. V2 integration might be a better option for Nicepage.

Nicepage please consider Recaptcha V2 otherwise the contact form block is useless.

Shane 53 has a serious point NPteam! I have the same problem with all my websites build in NP. I now left out all email forms to work around it but thus if course this a lousy solution with all the great form updates rescently added. Adding Recaptcha V2.0 would be fantastic. That version demands a puzzle to be cleared before any entry's can be made so this automatically eliminates robot spam.

Hi,

Please note Nicepage provides you the opportunity to use Google reCAPTCHA v3. And Nicepage is not responsible for exactly how it works, efficiently or not.

Also note, reCaptcha v.3 works differently, it analyzes the behavior across an entire site:
https://developers.google.com/recaptcha/docs/v3
https://webmasters.googleblog.com/2018/10/introducing-recaptcha-v3-new-way-to.htm

But I have asked our developers to check if there is a problem on our end. We will let you know when we receive a response from them.

Hi,

Our developers checked the process of connecting reCaptcha v.3 to the Form created in Nicepage and made some changes.
These changes will be available in the next Nicepage 3.18 version. Please wait for this version and test it on your side.

Thank you for being with Nicepage.
