Hi there,

You should urgently offer the possibility of integrating Google Fonts locally. Using Google Fonts is more than problematic in Europe due to the GDPR. All European Nicepage customers risk a warning.

Hi Robert,

Thank you. We have transferred the information to our manager.
At this moment we can only suggest that you use Safe fonts:

Thanks for being with Nicepage.

Hi Robert,

Unfortunately there is no such option, you can only try to edit the exported themes manually. But such an option is in our wishlist.

Dear Hella, European regulations should be more than a wish.
Unfortunately manually changes are a to big effort and to change them after each update.

I just don`t use it anymore for productive sites and use something else instead.

The nicepage team develops a lot of improvements, but doesn't spend any time for the importent things. GDPR is active since May 25th 2018 this now about 2 years. This is a shame! Lawyers having fun to get money from agencies and their customers creating sites not matching the GDPR. Nicepage does not care about this issue - it's more importent to have more themes or predefinied things instead covering the law in the EU. Disregardig the GDPR will only affect agencies with fines, not nicepage.
Pagebuilders should make it easier, not causing problems with the law.

Hey Susanna,

thx for the update on GDPR!
But I think a cookie banner doesn't make nicepage GDPR save. To solve this, you need a cookie consent tool (Cookie bot).
In my opinion, a web editor tool like nicepage is not responsible for 100% GDPR consesus, but the core should be in accordance and so the google fonts should be on the server side and loaded externally from google servers.
Please ask the development if they could save the fonts in the export files, so no side load is needed.
For me, that's enough to meet the GDPR. Google analytics, FB Pixels and other tracking stuff is in charge of the site owner and can be handled with other tools like google tag manager or consent tools.
Anyway, I´ve never heard about site owner who is doomed for using google fonts 😅

Cheers

Dear support team,
in Germany we are confronted with a huge number of GDPR complaint fines right now due to the use of remote Google fonts on websites.

I can see this topic is more than two years old. Are you now offering a solution to use local fonts instead?

Thanks
Marco
