"Paste" pastes blank

I'm using the web-version.
Anytime I try to paste text, nothing occurs except it pastes a few blank spaces.

As the site I'm editing is a news site, with articles that are already written (each at least 1,900 words), I can't retype all of these one-by one (there are HUNDREDS of articles).

I'm using a Mac, have tried right click>paste as well as Command+V, and neither work.

Please help me.
