Hamburger Menu - Very Buggy

Report a bug

Hi NP,

First, I would like to say, I enjoy working with Nicepage and I have seen it grow over the years. I get to talk about how good Nicepage is wherever I find an opportunity. So today on that spirit and note, it feels like the hamburger menu have just been abandoned. It has no features and it's so so so buggy. I get frustrated every time I use it, now I am trying to fall to using pop-up modals. Even though that is also buggy (I recently started a complaint about that too); but I think it's way better especially for design and customization when compared to the Hamburger menu.

Editing the menu content in the hamburger menu is always buggy, just moving the menu list to the right or left to an extent, overflows to the right when previewed on a mobile device specifically. Also, in the editor, when I increase the font size of the menu list or item, it doesn't show a preview until I test the actual published link, it's exhausting. And I can't actually customize or add elements to the hamburger menu to make it beautiful and functional; like adding an image, or box container, etc. If I try to do that, everything falls apart.

Same thing for the pop-up modal, but that's fairer or slightly better.
Lastly, can there be a layer panel showing all contents just like the actual design UI where you can see and select each element added to the menu or pop-up modal.

Thank you

Hello Elvis,

Thank you for being our loyal customer.

Please provide some screenshots of the problems. We will try to help you. Maybe there is something hard for you, and we will help you; maybe it is something impossible, and we will send it to your management team.
But first, we need to understand the reasons and elements.

Also, if you have any live website link, an example of your wish, please tell us, we will see your wish in action and clarify whether it is possible or not.

Sincerely,
George.

Please check out this sites as examples of what I expect from the hamburger menu.

https://catenon.in/
These two should give you an idea of what I mean.
I was considering using a pop-up modal to design a hamburger menu, but I don't know if that works, especially since I noticed that too is buggy. When I have a modal popup set up, when I click on the link or button to open it, the background website still scrolls when I try to scroll instead of the actual modal elements.

This is the website I was working on that I saw both bugs on - hamburger menu bug, and popup modal bug.

Basically what I think will be super useful is having the hamburger editable, just like the typical block in nicepage, that way we can be creative with it.

I will be looking forward to a fix soon.
Thank you

Hello Elvis,

Thanks for providing examples.
We checked your websites.

The scrolls must be scrollable when the modal pop-up is opened. For example Cookie Consent Popup is activated, the user sometimes wants to scroll and see is or not on the website, what they are looking for. And after this, make a decision, accept cookies, or decline, or even close the website. Mostly, websites work in this way, modal popups do not block the scroll, and some modals block scrolls; it is connected to full design requirements.

About the scroll, when the mobile hamburger menu is opened, please see this website
https://en.vinarstvibalaz.cz/
from mobile and open the hamburger and try to scroll, and then please open this
https://stellarpatternsconsulting.nicepage.io/
And again, open the hamburger and try to scroll, we checked and scroll on the back side of the hamburger is not working on your Nicepages website.

About the style of hamburger menu, you can set 100% of canvas and style inside as you want.
Please see the attached screenshot.

Sincerely,
George.
