Unpublish "block" or "slide" instead of deleting

Dear developers,

I have a feature request which might come in handy for many of us developers: Having the ability to deactivate full blocks or slides (in a header slider for example).

Why?

I have customers with seasonal products. If they make an announcement for these producte for winter every year, I would like to be able to deactivate them manually (or even with a "time schedule" maybe just as with Joomla content) and reactivate them again manually as soon as summer is over.

Currently I can only delete them to unpublish them. This is not a non-destructive workflow.

Can this feature be added?

Kind regards,
Dan

Hello Daniel,

Thank you for your feature request!

To better visualize your use case, please provide screenshots of how you currently structure your sliders or blocks. This would help our Dev Team understand your workflow and consider possible implementations, such as a manual deactivation option or scheduled publishing similar to Joomla. Could you check if the export/import of the block can help you in this scenario?

We appreciate your feedback and look forward to your response!

Sure thing Ahmad,

here are two examples:

Example 1: Hide single slides in slider
In the screenshot I have a slider with 4 unique slides. One of the slides has a temporary offer for changing wheels in spring and winter. This offer is only accessable and relevant in March and September, so I would like to be able to a) manually hide them instead of deleting or b) (which would be even better) be able to tell when the slider appears, for example in time interval between 1st of March and 15th of April)

Example 2: Hide complete blocks
In sreenshot 2 there is a design block in Nicepage about "Bosch Car Service". The customer still has a coworker for this special offer until the end of May 2025. Then we need to hide that complete block. But the customer will have a new coworker in September, when he wants to add that back. I would like to be able to a) hide the full block here or b) schedule the reappearance of the block on the 1st of September 2025.

I hope these two examples showcase my idea. I am sure other people will benefit from this as well. It would be less destructive.

Kind regards,
Dan

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for the examples. We'll consider this suggestion for our wishlist. As for the option to hide the whole block, you can now use Hide On Device option and choose all devices to temporarily hide a block.

Hi Hella,

the problem with "Hide On Device" is that the content is still being loaded but just hidden. On the other hand, it's not visible in the Nicepage Editor anymore as well and getting it back visible is not very intuitive. I can imagine having a more specific solution here that also works with slides and other elements.

Kind regards,
Dan
