Report a bug

In Desktop Version I can go "My Site" -> Theme -> Header, select the Menu, select [Edit Menu Items], select [Edit] on a menu and in the "Link Settings Page" I have a Field "Text *" to edit the text to display for the menu item.

On Wordpress if I go to Sites, select [Edit with Nicepage] on a page, double click on the Menu in the header to open Menu Items Dialog, select [Edit] on a menu to open "Link Settings Page" there is no Field "Text *" to edit the text for a menu item.

Expected behaviour would be to:
a) Have also a button Edit to edit the Menu Items (double click on the menu to open the Edit Menu Items Dialog is not obvious).
b) Can also change the name of a menu item directly on the Homepage.

Hi Andreas,

Please note that since you're working on the WP website directly, the menu is a WP menu, and you can edit items under the WP Appearance >> Menu. Here you can edit items or create a new menu for your website.

Let us know if you have any further questions.

Dear Olivia,

Many thanks for your feedback. I also have found this workaround in the meantime. But expection is to have it provided in the nicepage pluging. One of the benefits of nicepage should be to learn only one tool and not two (nicepage and wordpress).

BR,

Andreas

Andreas,

In general, Nicepage cannot replace WordPress because WP is a complex content management system while Nicepage is a content and theme builder for this system. You do not need to know much to use Nicepage but you need to know WP to use it and create websites. Menu editing is one of the basic WP functions just like page/post editing and widgets management. Therefore this is a useful skill :-)
But we added your request to our wish list.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Olivia,

So you probably should not provide the possibility to edit the Menu in the Nicepage plugin at all. Better will be to provide a Button with a link which will forward the user to the place in WordPress where he can change the Menu ;-)

Correct, remove the function from the WP Plugin if it's not working as we expect.

Also, the functional link between the WP Builtin Menu editor and NP is not working properly anyway.
I have menu's in WP that aren't showing in my NP pages.
I can find no way to tell NP to use a particular menu in a particular page.

Don't us that we should learn WP, we use Nicepage so that we don't have to know all about WP.

Hi,

In general, the option is removed from the right properties panel but still available on double click, We'll remove it as well.

I can find no way to tell NP to use a particular menu in a particular page.

WP does not support such functionality.
The Nicepage Menu in the theme provides the "Primary Navigation" location for the WP menus. That's all. When you select this location for WP menu is it displayed as Nicepage styled Menu. Nicepage itself does not control anything.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.
