Ask a Question

Hi, I have a problem with the cookie management system. Italian law provides that users can access cookie settings via the wording "settings" or "preferences" in order to modify them, furthermore these preferences must be able to be modified at any time by the user, even after accepting cookies.

When a user clicks on "accept" or "decline", the Nicepage template does not allow them to modify these preferences in any way.

How can the problem be solved?

Hi,

You can add Cookie Preferences to your Cookies Popup in the theme settings of your Project. Please see the attached screenshot:

Have you already tried to use it?

I have already entered the cookie preferences, the problem is that after clicking accept, it is not possible to change the preferences.

I attach two example screenshots from another site. In the first screenshot you see a symbol (but it can also be a link in the footer), clicking on this symbol/link opens a pop-up (see the second screenshot) which allows you to change the cookie preferences.

Hi,

Indeed, there is no such option on Nicepage. We will add it to our wishlist and hope it will be implemented one day.

Let us know if you need our further help!

Ok, but this will be a problem for all Italian sites. The new privacy laws require having this system.

Hi,

We understand the importance of these laws for our European customers, and we will do our best to make Nicepage as compliant with all EU privacy laws as possible. Though there is a lot to do in this direction, we are constantly making our product more and more suitable to our customers from all over the world.

As a workaround, we suggest connecting a third-party Cookies Popup that includes this feature.

Let us know if you need our further help!
