Ask a Question

I have read a few threads and it is clear that once exported to Wordpress I cannot re-import.

Please clarify if I understand correctly:
I export a WP version from my Windows builder. I do NOT include the Nicepage plugin
All editing must be done with WP editor
I export a WP version from my Windows builder. I DO include the Nicepage plugin
I can edit with the Nicepage editor
If I want to add Wordpress features I must add a Widget on the page via Nicepage editor and only use the WP editor for WP content inside that widget

BUT
If I go to a specific page and click the URL above the “Edit with Nicepage” button, what can I do or not do regarding editing with WP?

For pages exported with the Nicepage editor are there limitations as to what I can do with a page due to the need to edit WP content within a widget?

If yes, should I consider exporting WP from the Windows Nicepage builder without the plugin and just work via the WP editor?

Thanks Colin

Hi Colin,

I export a WP version from my Windows builder. I do NOT include the Nicepage plugin

In this case you export the Theme only, the content of the site is then edited only by your default WP editor.

You can edit the content of WP pages created with Nicepage. You can also create other pages using your WP editor, these pages cannot be edited by Nicepage plug-in and will be using the Page Template from your Nicepage Theme designed in the desktop application.

As for the widgets, Nicepage does not have the option to edit the content of the site widgets in any case. In Nicapeg you can add Widget Positions inside the Theme where you want to show widgets. After that you need to open WP >> Appearance >> Widgets and add desired widgets to the created widget positions. More can be found here:

The Edit with Nicepage option is available for pages that were created with Nicepage editor. You can edit the whole content of that page using the editor.

The content of the widget cannot be edited by Nicepage in any case. Widgets are the part of WP and can be edited using the WP >> Widgets menu.
