So I was able to upload the HTML code for google analytics. However when I try to add the site recognition HTML here > google-site-verification: googleec587e7b4682fc36.html

it just shows up as text. How do I get it into the underbelly of the code without it displaying as text

Hello John,

You can add your Google Analytics ID to assign your Site to the Google Analytics account and get your Site statistics - https://nicepage.com/doc/1121/site-settings#google-tab
If you do not have the ID, you can add the code to the page HEAD section (before BODY) to the Site Settings >> HTML >> Additional HEAD HTML. Please remove HTML comments from the code. They look as follows:
<!-- some text -->

Let us know.
