Hi Gaëtan Legay,

No, we have not removed Chromius support. We tested Nicepage on Chromium 69 for Windows and everything is ok. Did you try Nicepage in Chromium on Ubuntu previously? Is it possible to reinstall the most recent browser version?

Thank you,
Olivia

Hi Gaëtan Legay,

I clarified this issue with our developers and they said that Chromius is not supported, unfortunately. They disabled browsers on which there are no daily test runs on our side (Chromius, Firefox). Without these tests, we can not guarantee correct application operation.

We apologize for the inconvenience.

Thank you,
Olivia

Hi,

ok, i do not understand your logic, knowing that chromium is the base of google chrome. I find it a shame to change the useragent

Hi Gaëtan Legay,

Sorry for the inconvenience. Actually Chrome and Chromium are a bit different and as said above we cannot guarantee the correct functionality of the application with this browser.
Feel free to contact us in any other occasion.

Hi,

Different in what? they are identical ... the blink rendering engine is the same for both...

the differences between the two browsers are only the addition of proprietary plugin / codec and google logos ... Everything else is the same!

so, I do not understand the restriction of your developers.

Gaëtan L.,

According to our tests, there may be a difference in the Nicepage operation between two Chrome versions.
We can unlock Nicepage in Chromius especially for you. But we cannot guarantee that everything will be ok. Why don't you want to use Chrome?

Thank you,
Olivia

Olivia,

I work on several screens, and on several browsers google chrome (rendering) and chromium (dev).

So far I have never seen a difference between the two browsers unless you have some examples?

I want an unlock! Please. If there is a problem I will test on chrome before you disturb :-)

Hi Gaëtan,

We'll enable working with Chromium in the next update. But once again we want to mention that we do not have regular tests with this browser and we could not guarantee the proper work of Nicepage with this browser. So it will be your informed decision to use this browser instead of those recommended by our company.

Sincerely,
Hella

Hi Hella,

Thank you for granting me this access via chromium. I understand, but in my opinion it will not pose much concern for rendering ;-) .
